I got nothing....

Not true!  I had a great day!  I am not worried about my temporary out-of-workness, cuz I am industrious and always find a way.  Went to the Birch (local pub) with neighbors, had a free cup of chili, fries n a Coke.  Played Keno and won $2 ;)  Came home & my good neighbor paid me a visit.  I got some photo sessions lined up, so Life is Good.

More serious blogs coming soon!

but the silliness will never go way--for those who can appreciate my humor Yay!
for those who don't....really...u made it this far?  Hey!

n now for an episode or 2 of Arrested Development before sleep takes over.........

Fun workout at home!

The dude Beto in this video is the creator of Zumba

Have Fun!  :)

ZumbaLikeItsHot!

I was lookin up a song on YouTube by Pit Bull - Pause - that my friend Elise is going to use for her routine in her first body building competition.  I discovered this chick Heather Michael who has a Zumba video to that song, and many more.  She looks similar to Elise and has similar moves.  I think it's cool that there are workout videos on youtube!  Though the sound and video quality isn't excellent, I dig the dance moves, and I'm going to try to dance along with her tomorrow for some of them!

Here's one:

Today, I sorted through all my clothes, making one side of my closet the holding tank for items I'm going to try to sell.  I'll have several of my friends model the various outfits and I will photograph them, then post them on the ASOS site that I've been hooked on lately.  Wish me luck!

While trying on the clothes I realized I'm a little porky, so these rump shakin' videos oughta help that!

2 more! I'm addicted!

More outfits

Still having fun on the ASOS fashion site piecing together styles :)  Here's a couple more:

OZ does Brokeback Mountian (for Men)

the Bird Cage (for a Victorian Garden Party)

I'm not selling these items...they are mostly from sellers in the UK, but can be shipped elsewhere.  I'm considering selling on this site though.  Like I always say....A girl gotta do what a girl gotta do!

A Change Gonna Come

Took a risk yesterday...though life is a constant flux of struggles, I'm hopin', believin', havin' that wishful thinking....a change is gonna come.

Follow the Money

"Exploiting people of color is very common. Empowering them and their communities does not seem to be." from Follow the Money - Arts

The high school I attended in Pontiac, MI didn't have a yearbook (except for a cheap one my graphics arts teacher helped us print up), didn't have sports, and didn't have a prom. These programs are often missing where they are needed most--for a child/teenager/human being to thrive.  Pontiac Central High School no longer exists.  My city has been ravaged by poverty, drugs, gangs, violence, and lack of proper support.  Check out the brief article at the above link, and consider watching the film Thrive--though there are some parts that are a little aloof, it's enlightening.

Follow the money ... it's very distressing.  I've been told "you're too smart for your own good", and oh how true that feels sometimes.  I've learned more about the big bankers than I've been comfortable with since I've been fighting to get my mortgage interest lowered for almost 2 years now.  My original lender was Mortgage Max, then it was sold to Washington Mutual, then to Wells Fargo--and they are one of the top handful of banks who received 1/2 of a trillion $$$ from the Federal Reserve at a 0% interest rate, but don't abide by the Make Your Home Affordable program  and lower the interest rate to those struggling to keep their homes.  They claim a paper from a year prior is missing my address, and other ludicrous excuses shower in, hoping a person will just give up or die.  I feel powerless, often helpless, with the extremes that surround me.  It's not simply that I'm sad about my own struggles with health problems and how that affects my ability to earn enough to meet my basic needs, but when I think about my community...the economy of Michigan, of the United States, and the global effects of poverty resulting from the deeds of the greedy...I become heart sick.

Just so u know...our economy is not in trouble because of a President who is either red or blue, but because of the big banks. We are enslaved to the spell of the wealthiest 1%.  They essentially rule the world.  As with slavery, it didn't originate here, but it gets cultivated here.  Change can also occur here...awareness is the beginning to insight change.  Here's a timeline to educate yourself further:  Follow the Money - Banking History  "This timeline shows the pattern of American Presidents being assassinated after challenging central bankers and their monopoly on money, and the Federal Reserve’s artificial creation of booms and busts that causes people to lose their jobs, homes, and retirements, while the bankers further consolidate wealth and control."  Sounds like Mafia of the highest order to me.

I don't have the answers, but I sure know how to ask the questions!

I welcome your comments and your activism!

Powerball

Just sittin here talkin to my neighbor Erich, dreaming about hittin the Powerball big...he just wants me to take him to Miami if I win, to lay on the beach in South Beach for a couple days.  Heck...I would do that and then some.  :)  #Dreamers

I said "20 more minutes til they draw.  I have never sat up waiting for the numbers before, I'm really having some wishful thinking going on there."  He said "Or, maybe you're just desperate.  HA HA!" with his loud, boisterous, contagious laugh "It's ok to be desperate, it's the American way! HA HA!"  lol  I was just gonna say that...maybe I'm just really desperate.

Restless

I'm at work at a new location that is a charming space, but it's not filled with the beautiful people who I regulary met at the hotel. There are only a few items available for purchase, and though it's quaint, there is nothing available for me to create designs for customers, or for them to pick individually. There's a racist in the mist, and I don't like the uneasy feeling I get from this person. To add to the chill of some of the people surrounding me, the air conditioner blows briskly though it's 30 degrees F outside. Every time the door opens (people who work in the space going in & out, deliveries- who I hold the door open for, and people passing through) the freezing cold air engulfs me, since I'm situated right by the entrance to a shared space. The door rarely closes, allowing a bone chilling draft to seep through. I spend more of my day on door control than interacting with any potential customers.

Disgruntled. Cold. This is my day to complain.

I charged groceries a couple days ago and I am becoming increasingly aggravated by my food, medical, n fitness needs not being met ... Many needs are not being met adequately . I'm caught up in some routine - treading water as the cliche goes- trying to simply get by. I don't wanna live inside of a cliche. I don't want to spend time working to no avail. Life is just passing by and I'm not comfortable with this.

I'm restless. I'm cold. This is my day to complain so that change can come.

asos

Discovered a new site asos -- swanky UK based sellers of vintage and independent designer fashionable apparel.  This is my kinda style!  Love the photos!  Love the combos!  It's like how I like to dress--coordinating uncoordinated items!
Yeah Baby Yeah!

If my Power Ball hits I know where I'll be doing a lot of shopping!  It's also got me thinking about selling....hmmm...what's a girl to do in these economic hard times?  I would love takin shots of chickies in outfit combos I pull together!  It would kinda be like combining my mannequin dressing roots from Hudsons with today's photography, and social networking into some sales.  Hmmmm....maybe!

Here's a little outfit combo I put together--I don't have anything uploaded to sell, it's just some little thingee they have on the sight to create your own outfit:

Here's a link to the page for larger pix w/more details:
Blues on the Town (my outfit)

You can buy from the UK sellers in US dollars, and there is a US site, though I'm not too excited about that one.
